2007 Can-Am Outlander 800 Rotax 810 Bottom End Crankcase Ref 420685317

Used OEM engine bottom-end assembly removed from a 2007 Can-Am Outlander 800 XT 4x4. Engine has been opened and partially disassembled and is being sold as is. One piston is present; the second piston is missing with the connecting rod remaining. We recommend replacing the remaining piston and performing a complete teardown and inspection before installation. No noticeable play was found in the crankshaft/connecting rod bearings during our basic hand inspection. Engine has been stored indoors since disassembly. OEM Rotax 810 engine bottom-end assembly removed from a 2007 Can-Am Outlander 800 XT 4x4.

This assembly is partially disassembled and should be considered a rebuildable engine bottom end rather than a ready-to-install engine. One piston remains installed and the other piston has been removed, leaving the connecting rod exposed. The crankshaft, crankcase, transmission/internal lower-end components, starter motor, water pump/cooling components, timing chains and guides, covers, wiring/sensors, and other components shown in the photos are included.

Our team checked the rotating assembly by hand and did not find noticeable play in the crankshaft or connecting rod bearings. The crankshaft/internal surfaces appear to have had previous polishing or machine work, possibly micro-polishing; however, we have not disassembled the bottom end far enough to verify exactly what machine work was previously performed. No internal clearances or measurements have been taken.

We recommend replacing the remaining piston and performing a complete teardown, inspection, and measurement of the assembly before installation. Because the engine is already open and its complete rebuild history is unknown, it is being sold as a rebuildable bottom-end assembly and not as a tested running engine.
